Here is the break down of what each lesson covers:

LESSON 1: Holy Week Paper Mosaic

Time Needed: 1-45 minute session
Ages: 5+ 
You will how to engage children in Holy Week through a visual exploration of the events leading up to Christ's Passion, Death and Resurrection. Children will learn how to express emotions through color, how to combine Scripture and art in a fun and creative way using paper and glue!

LESSON 2: Empty Tomb Watercolor Resist

Time Needed: 30 minutes (split into 2 sessions)
Ages: 5+
Children learn about the significance of Christ's Resurrection, what the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches about it, about angels and more. They will draw with oil pastel and paint with watercolor learning how to blend colors. 

LESSON 3: Divine Mercy Jesus Portrait

Time Needed: 1-45 minute session
Ages: 5+ (bonus drawing guide for ages 9+!)
Children learn a brief summary of Saint Faustina and how we have the image of Divine Mercy, the symbolism of the colors in the image and how to re-create the Divine Mercy Jesus in a child-friendly mixed media portrait. They will also practice tracing, cutting and pasting skills along with the basics of proportion in portrait-making. 

LESSON 4: Easter Lily Still Life Collage

LESSON 5: Good Shepherd Sheep Watercolor

Time Needed: 30 minutes (split into two sessions)
Ages: 5+
Children learn about the parable of the Good Shepherd (John 10: 11-18) and how to make a fun and colorful sheep watercolor resist painting! They draw the sheep, draw details and paint to blend colors. 

LESSON 6: Ascension Mixed Media Landscape 

Time Needed: 2-30 minute sessions
Ages: 5+
Children learn about what Scripture and the Catechism teach about Christ's Ascension into heaven, how to create a foreground, middle ground and background, how to make textured sponge painted clouds, a pastel rubbing and more!
